The invention is based on the idea of utilizing the bit groups of a data package that are not needed for allocating said bit groups to a specific logical channel for transmitting the type of information which is specific to said bit group with the purpose of transmitting another type of information, more particularly new signaling information whose importance was not yet recognized when defining the data package or the bit group structure thereof or whose transmission was not yet considered to be necessary when determining the transmission standard.
