PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warp knitting machine of kind mentioned at the beginning, having an especially preferable structure in practical application, and capable of relatively changing the basic position of a guide needle to a knitting needle. SOLUTION: This warp knitting machine has at least one guide bar 4 supported on a reciprocatively swingable guide lever 9. In order to relatively change the basic position of the guide needle 3 to a knitting needle 2, the swinging movement line of the guide lever can relatively and integrally be changed to a frame 21. The guide lever 9 is provided with good torsional rigidity, is linked to a common swinging shaft 10, and supports at least one guide bar 4 through axial guides 7, 8. The swinging shaft 10 is supported in the frame 21 through a rotatingly controllable eccentric bushing 14. Thereby, the practically preferable structure wherein the basic position of a guide needle 3 can relatively be changed to the knitting needle 2 is obtained.
