PURPOSE: A valve retainer for an automotive vehicle engine is provided to make the assembly between a valve and a valve retainer simple and to improve engine efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The valve retainer has:a hole(11) formed to be penetrated and inserted the upper side of a valve(30) on the center part; a lower retainer(10) forming many grooves(13); and a upper retainer(20) radially and regularly divided by forming many cutting grooves(22) that faces the outer side from the center of a hole(21) and are cut at the same location of a cut groove(12) of the lower retainer.
