The dye salts of the formula I <IMAGE> where F is the radical of a dye molecule, R1 is the direct bond or a bridge member, R2 is a C8-24 aliphatic radical, R3 is a radical of the formula -COO-, -SO3-, -PO3- or -PO2-, A<+> is a radical having a sterically hindered ammonium or immonium group, m is 1, 2, 3 or 4, n is 1, 2 or 3, and p is 1, 2, 3 or 4, where n . p = m, are highly suitable for the mass coloration of polymers.
