PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing an organic silicon compound. SOLUTION: A new organic silicon compound is produced by reacting Si2H6 with an olefin having at least one C=C double bond in its molecule in the presence of a compound containing platinum, palladium, nickel, iridium, rhodium, cobalt, ruthenium or iron.
