摘要 PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device having thin-film transistors of vertical structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to apply a display apparatus of large screen and high display quality. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises an insulation substrate(20), a gate line(21), a pixel electrode(22), a light cutting film(23), an insulation film(24), a first ohmic layer(25), a semiconductor layer(26), a second ohmic layer(27) and a data line(29). The gate line(21) is thickly formed on the insulation substrate(20). The pixel electrode(22) is formed on a predetermined area apart from the gate line(21). The thickness of the pixel electrode(22) is less than that of a gate electrode. The light cutting film(23) is formed at edge area of the pixel electrode(22) and a glass substrate. The insulation film(24) is doped on whole glass substrate to cover the gate line(21), pixel electrode(22) and light cutting film(23) and to expose a contact hole. The first ohmic layer(25) is in a lower portion of the contact hole. The semiconductor layer(26) is formed on the first ohmic layer(25), to cover the contact hole. The second ohmic layer(27) is formed on the semiconductor layer(26). The data line(29) is orthogonal to the gate line(21).
