PURPOSE: Many cephem compounds are on sale, but compounds having more excellent antibacterial activity should be developed and characterized to confront multidrug-resistant bacteria or diversification of therapeutic type. Especially, the cephem compounds of broad antibacterial spectrum having long half-life in blood and excellent dynamic characteristics such as transitive in tissue in vivo, are needed. CONSTITUTION: Materials conforming to the need are cephem compounds, which have a group of Formula 2 at 3 position in cephem ring, or their salts or hydrates. In Formula 2: Het is a single or multi-ring type complex ring containing 1 or more same or different atoms which are selected from N, O and S, R1 is H, substituted or unsubstituted low alkyl or low alkenyl; A is substituted or unsubstituted low alkylene, low alkenylene or single bond; B is substituted or unsubstituted imino or single bond or A and B form single bond together; and D is single bond or -NH-C=NH- group.
