PURPOSE: A method for forming a transparent electrode of a plasma display panel is provided to simplify processes by using lift-off method. CONSTITUTION: The method for forming a transparent electrode of a plasma display panel comprises the steps of: coating a photoresist(32) on a glass substrate(31); forming resist pattern exposing a glass substrate portion of transparent electrode(33a) planning area by exposing and developing a predetermined portion of the resist; depositing a transparent metal film(33) by sputtering on a glass substrate on which the resist is formed; and deleting the resist pattern and the transparent metal film deposited on the resist pattern.
