DEVICE FOR HIGHLY SENSITIVE MAGNETIC DETECTION OF ANALYTES

PURPOSE: A device for highly sensitive magnetic detection of analyses is provided to permits new kinds of processes for magnetorelaxometric detection of analyses to be carried out or for detection of analyses by means of remanence measurement, routinely and economically in vitro or in vivo. CONSTITUTION: The device for highly sensitive magnetic detection of analyses concerns a device for qualitative and quantitative detection of analyses, particularly in an also biological test sample, by means of ligand receptor bonds with a magnetizing device for producing field at the site of the test sample and with a detection device for measuring magnetic properties of the test sample. The magnetizing device is arranged spacially with respect to the detection device, such that the magnetic field produced by the magnetizing device at the site which the test sample occupies during measurement is weakened by at least a factor of 10, preferably by a factor of 1000 or more, or by the fact that a switching device is provided which can turn off the magnetic field of the magnetizing device at the site of the test sample during the measurement phase of the detection device.
