The roof panel (1) consists of a block (3) of insulation material, with a rain-proof upper layer (5). A zig-zagged series of longitudinal grooves is cut into the top surface of the block. A flexible pipe (11) is laid in the grooves, and the whole block is covered with the rain-proof layer (5). The pipes in adjacent panels are coupled together to form a continuous channel for the flow of a heat gathering liquid or gaseous medium.
