摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image forming method and a treating method of a photosensitive material to obtain an image showing a good silver color tone and having high sensitivity and excellent running stability even in a system small in the replenishing amt. of a treating liquid. SOLUTION: In this X-ray image forming method, a photosensitive material having hydrophilic colloid layers including silver halide emulsion layers on a support is brought into close contact with an X-ray sensitizing screen, exposed to X-rays and treated. In this method, the photographic sensitive material contains planer silver halide particles satisfying the following conditions (1) to (4) in at least one layer of either of the silver halide emulsion layers and the X-ray sensitizing screen has the light emission max. in 300 to 500 nm wavelength region. On the condition (1), the silver halide has the spectral max. sensitivity in 300 to 500 nm region. On the condition (2), the particle has (111) plane as the principal plane, 1.0 to 4.0μm diameter calculated as a circle and 0.2 to 0.6μm thickness. On the condition (3), the particle includes silver halide projections by epitaxial deposition of a face center cubic structure to form an epitaxial bond. On the condition (4), the silver halide projections are positioned on the edge of the host planer particle.
