PURPOSE:To make compact a case covering a part for a width and a size after alignment and to obtain a structure which can be readily gripped by providing notched parts at contact parts of a flexible printed circuit board (FPC). CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave probe 10 has the following parts: a plurality of ultrasonic wave piezoelectric transducers which are arranged in an array pattern; and FPC 20 which divides electrodes from the piezoelectric transducers 3 into a plurality of sets and takes out the electrodes; and a connector 24 which is attached to the FPC 20 through a plurality of leads 4a. Knotched parts 20f and 20ff are provided between lead connecting holes 20c at end part 20e of the FPC 20. A protruding part 20g is provided in the vicinity of the hole 20c. When the FPCs 20 are aligned and assembled, one lead 4aa is coupled into the knotched part 20ff of the neighboring FPC 20. In this way, the width and the size Lb after alignment can be made small, and the case can be made compact. |
