PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment which properly controls a ringing notice even if a plurality of lines are stored and properly switches facsimile reception by means of a connected information processor and facsimile reception by means of its own equipment. SOLUTION: When ringing is detected from a line, a facsimile equipment gives a ringing notice to an information processor unless the class of a TR29 processor is set in a class '1' and a 'permanent ringing notice' is set in SW information which is set by a communication mode change-over switch until the number of ringing notice times to the information processor becomes the one which is previously set as a ringing notice threshold. When the ringing notice becomes the ringing notice threshold, the facsimile equipment individually executes facsimile reception. When the class of the TR29 procedure is set to the class '1' or the 'permanent ringing notice' is set in SW information, the information processor makes a response or the ringing notice is given to the information processor until ringing from the line is eliminated (steps S1-S9).
