PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily hold a connecting end of a flat flexible cable received in a cable receiver cavity, while being connected to a substantially ZIF(zero insert force) type connector. SOLUTION: This connector is provided with an insulating housing 1, plural terminals installed in the insulating housing 1 in parallel with each other with the predetermined pitch, and a pressurizing member 3 for pushing a flat flexible cable to a contact part formed in a contact piece of the terminals. The terminal includes two kinds of terminals, namely, a temporary holding terminal 2A and a non-holding terminal 2B. The temporary holding terminal 2A has a temporary holding piece facing opposite to the contact part of the contact piece, and has a support part 11A to be engaged with the pressurizing member 3 at a tip of the temporary holding piece freely to be displaced between the opening condition and closing condition. The non-holding terminal 2B has a receiver piece 13B for resisting the force of a contact part 9B of a contact piece 6B for pushing the flat flexible cable, when the flat flexible cable is inserted and the pressurizing member 3 is closed.
