FIELD: rubber and chemical industries. SUBSTANCE: rubber latex is coagulated in presence of serum water, sulfuric acid, and coagulation agents. Rubber crumb is washed from acid residues and coagulation agents, squeezed, and dried. Rubber crumb contained in serum, wash, and squeeze waters is concentrated by feeding streams through nozzle into corresponding phase separator between casing and filter element maintaining concentrate stream velocity 15 to 25 m/s. Phase separator has spiral barrier mounted between cylindrical casing and filter element. Pitch of spiral barrier decreases in direction from nozzle to outlet by the value inverse to withdrawn filtrate. Serum water concentrate is fed into coagulation stage, filtrates are used for preparing coagulation agent solutions, and water concentrate crumb is used in washing stage. The rest of water is withdrawn for biological purification. EFFECT: increased overhaul life of filter element. 2 dwg, 2 tbl
