PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle threading device of simple constitution capable of easily forming the flow passage of air conveying thread, i.e., an air passage, and ensuring a needle threading operation by allowing the airflow conveying the thread to go directly to the eye of a sewing machine needle. SOLUTION: A needle threading device includes a suction device forming suction airflow to the eye 211 of a sewing machine needle 210 by advancing toward the sewing machine needle 210 from behind, and causes the end of a thread 60 placed in front of the eye 211 to be passed through the eye 211. The suction device comprises a suction pipe 10 connected to an air device forming negative-pressure air, a pair of right and left needle clamping plates 20, 20 integrated together via upper and lower elastic members 31, 32, and an air passage 40 formed by the needle clamping plates 20, 20 and the elastic members 31, 32 to allow the eye 211 to communicate with the inside of the suction pipe 10.
