PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly control engine speed to the target one by compensating an injection quantity at each individual cylinder in an accurate manner. SOLUTION: Individual cylinder control sections 10 are installed, and each detection engine speed of respective cylinders #1 to #6 is set to N(T), error engine speed of a preceding cylinder to N(T-t), error engine speed of a two- time preceding cylinder to N(T-3t), error engine speed of a three-time preceding cylinder to N(T-4t), and a factor showing the effect of a previous cylinder preset by the size or the like of an internal combustion engine toα, respectively. Then, engine speed No (T) attributable to only an injection quantity of the cylinder concerned is approximated by an equation to be composed of No(T)=N (T)-α.ΔN(T-t)+α3.N(T-3t)-α4.N(T-4t), and thereby each injection quantity of respective cylinders is controlled on the basis of a difference between this No (T) and the mean value Na (T) of each cylinder engine speed.
