PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a longitudinally roofed facing structure for placing a longitudinally roofed facing material having a folded-down molding formed at the right and left side edges on a body of steel or the like via holding members for holding the facing material, wherein the longitudinally roofed facing material can be roofed without limiting the fixing points in the flow direction of the longitudinally roofed facing material in formation of the body. SOLUTION: In a longitudinally roofed facing structure, a bottom 20, side walls 22, 22 provided with fixation supporting portions 21, 21 almost horizontally extending to the inside and a space 24 having an opening open at its upper face are provided and a fixing structural material 2 continued in a flow direction F is arranged and fixed onto a beam material 4 corresponding to the effective width of a facing material 3 to construct a steel body 1. Holding members 5 are fixed to the fixing structural material 2 in its longitudinal direction at required spaces to place the longitudinally roofed facing material 3 via the holding members 5 adjacent to each other in the cross direction. The holding members 5 are mounted on the fixing structural material 2 at its selective points to hold the longitudinally roofed facing material 3 at its selective points in the flow direction, so that strength as required can be obtained.
