PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install even a metallic clip by clamping a pivot. SOLUTION: A pivot 2 is clamped by notches 15 in the legs 14 of a pair of metallic clamping pieces 11, 11, and the clamping pieces 11, 11 are freely rotatable relative to the pivot 2. Inwardly warping support pieces 16 are formed by cutting and raising the clamping pieces 11, 11, and a spring 13 is formed into an approximately U-shape and put over the pivot 2, with both ends of the spring 13 pressed against and locked with the support pieces 16 to energize the ends of the clamping pieces 11, 11 in a closing direction. Provided that the clamping pieces 11, 11 can be supported on the pivot 2 while clamping it, the clamping pieces 11, 11 need not be fitted around the pivot 2 but can be installed even if both ends of the pivot 2 are curved. Therefore, the pivot 2 of the required shape can be installed even after plating process. The support pieces 16, 16 extend to and clamp the pivot 2 to serve as guides to fit the spring 13 therein and to smoothen the clamping action of the clip.
