PURPOSE:To easily align optical axes of various factor optical elements for constituting a hybrid type optical integrated circuit. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of types of factor optical element such as a semiconductor laser, a lens, a reflecting mirror, an optical fiber fixing base, a spacer, etc., are formed as chips 1-4 in the same rectangular shape when viewed from above. A protrusion 11 and a recess 12 of a triangular shape are formed in alignment with the optical axis at least at one set of sides on the axis, a plurality of types of chip are combined while engaging the protrusion with the recess, and mounted on a board 5. Alternatively, a recess 12 of a rectangular equilateral triangle is formed in alignment with the axis at the center of the side of each chip, and a plurality of types of chip are combined and provided on the board while engaging a supporting rod to become a guide with the recess. |
