The pressure roller (17) is mounted on a self-aligning arrangement (10,11) on the shaft (7) and permits an additional swiveling movement of the pressure roll relative to the latter in which it swivels around an axis intersecting the shaft axis (24) in its center of rotation (23) and parallel to the end face of the shaft. An Independent claim is included for the pressure applicator including a pressure roll on a self aligning bearing. Preferred Features: Elastic centering devices (15,16) on both sides of the self-aligning arrangement (10,11) are held in position by a clamping plate. The driven shaft (7) is connected to a driving sleeve (8) with an inner toothed rim (10) which engages with an outer toothed rim (11) connected to the pressure roller (17). Teeth on one of the toothed rims is curved to permit the self-alignment of the pressure roller relative to the shaft. A stabilizer located between the equipment frame (5) and the edge of the pressure roller guides the latter parallel to the frame. |
