PURPOSE: A device for opening and closing a canopy for an airplane is provided to extend the open space of the rear seat in the array of a serial two seat. CONSTITUTION: The device for opening and closing a canopy for an airplane is formed by:a first arm(33) of which end part is fixed to a side of a canopy(32); a second arm(34) of which end part is installed to be revolved to the first arm; a locking device(38) installed on the other end part of the second arm to selectively allow the second arm to be revolved; an actuator(39) connected to give the external force to a side of the first arm; and a roller(41) installed on the front lower face of the canopy.
