PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an engine simulated sound by approximating it to various real engine sounds in various operation states with a less storage information amount. SOLUTION: In this device 1, a storage means 6 stores each engine sound recorded in almost central states of respective ranges in a sound pressure waveform unit of length equivalent to the time when a crankshaft is rotated by one burning cycle much as the digital data of the engine sound by dividing an engine operation state into plural ranges with a working operation amount and an engine revolving speed as parameters. Then, the sound generation control means 5 outputs a sound generation control signal so as to sound generate repeatedly the engine sound data of the operation state range according to the inputs of the working operation amount and the engine rotational speed.
