PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer sprayer which realizes a uniformly dispersed state of spacers in liquid crystal and a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display using the spacer sprayer. SOLUTION: In a spacer sprayer for manufacturing a liquid crystal display consisting of a pair of polymer film substrates, at least one of which has a transparent electrode and an alignment layer on its inside surface, holding a liquid crystal layer and spacers to maintain a uniform thickness of the liquid crystal layer in between, the spacer sprayer is constructed to spray spacer particles on the alignment layer by making its spraying nozzle 47 swing like pendulum.
