PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a harmful insect such as a cockroach from entering a case for settling and building a nest, and to suppress cost increase by providing a harmful insect evasion layer on the inner surface layer of the case and the surface layer of a wiring board in an article treating device. SOLUTION: For example, in an opposite-face balance 1, a body case 2 of the balance 1 is composed of a bottom plate 22, a body cover 23, an operation cover 24, a display part case 25, and the like, and a wiring board 4 used as a heat source is accommodated in the balance 1. A harmful insect evasion layer where an effective constituent for avoiding the harmful inspection is contained in resin for composing the body case 2 and the board 4 is formed. In this manner, the harmful insect evasion layer is provided on the inner surface layer of the case 2 of the article treating device and the surface layer of the wiring board 4 in a product-treating device, thus preventing a cockroach or the like from settling even when the cockroach enters the case 2. Also, a harmful insect evasion agent for evading a harmful insect without tilling it is used, thus preventing the cockroach or the like from dying inside the device, preventing the excreta and dead body of the cockroach or the like from being generated, and hence preventing the wiring board 4 and a power supply from being short-circuited.
