Automatic ingot cutting means for multi-line

In continuous casting plant having a series of casting lines, the cast ingots are cut into bars of constant length by an apparatus comprising detectors which determine the amount of molten metal in an intermediate container. The detector commanding means for the admission of melt into the ingot moulds, and bar length detectors operate the ingot cutting means.
