PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sand basin facilities by which the sttled sand is efficiently transferred to a sand settling pit, and water is excellently treated and the method for settling sand in the equipment. SOLUTION: A settled sand accumulating region 4 is arranged on the downstream side of a sand settling pit 3, and the suspensoid in the introduced raw water is accumulated in the region 4 by this sand settling basin equipment 1. The plural equipments are set in the region 4, and this equipment is provided with a pressure water injector 7 for jetting the pressure water against the pit 3 from the downstream side and at least one partition wall 6 extending along the raw water flow direction and dividing the region 4 into plural passages 4a and 4b.
