COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING POLYORGANOSILOXANE AND ACRYLIC TERPOLYMER AND USE OF THE COMPOSITION FOR TREATING KERATINOUS SUBSTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition having a satisfactory viscosity at a relatively low pH, useful for treating a nongreasy keratinous substance by adding a polyorganosiloxane and a specific terpolymer to an aqueous carrier. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by adding (B) one or more organopolysiloxanes and (C) an acrylic terpolymer containing (i) 20-70 wt.% of anα,β-monoethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid (e.g. methacrylic acid), (ii) 20-80 wt.% of a monoethylenic unsaturated non-surface-active monomer (e.g. methyl acrylate) different from the component (i) and (iii) 0.5-60 wt.% of a nonionic urethane monomer e.g. a compound of the containing CH2=CH (CH3)-(m-PH)-C(CH3)2-NH-CO-O-[CH2CH2O]p-R1 ((p) is 6-150; R1 is 18-26C straight-chain alkyl) obtained by reacting a monofunctional nonionic surfactant with a monoethylenic unsaturated monoisocyanate to (A) an aqueous carrier.
