PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject knitting machine for producing patterned knitwear under control for pattern knitting with a simple scheme. SOLUTION: This knitting machine is such one as to equipped with a plurality of knitting system I, II where cam assemblies 12 are allocated mutually movably relative to at least one knitting tool carrier for the purpose of guiding knitting tools and one assembly is located behind the other in the moving direction Y, electrically controllable control members having 1st and 2nd selection points respectively, devices 56, 60 producing timing signals at temporal intervals corresponding to a needle spacing (t), and a program control device 53 coupled to the above devices and outputting control signals to the control members; wherein the devices 56, 60 work in such a manner as to output a 1st timing signal to be ordinary given and a 2nd timing signal as well temporally offset in relation to the 1st timing signal.
