PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new antisense oligonucleotide which inhibits expression of human interleukin-10 (IL-10) by hybridizing a gene coding for IL-10, and can be used, for example, the treatment, for example, of atopic dermatitis and lymphoma. SOLUTION: This is an antisense oligonucleotide which inhibits expression of human interleukin-10 (IL-10) protein by specifically hybridizing a chromosomal DNA and/or mRNA coding for IL-10 protein, has one or more sequences shown by formulas I-VII, and is useful, for example, as an active ingredient of medicines for diseases such as atopic dermatitis, allergodermia, systemic lupus erythematodes(SLE), Epstein-Barr(EB) viral infectious disease, and lymphoma. This antisense oligonucleotide is obtained by synthesizing a partial base sequence of human IL-10 mRNA using a usual oligonucleotide synthesizer, for example, by the photophoramidite method. |
