PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a multi-piece solid golf ball remarkably reducing the eccentricity of a multilayer core. SOLUTION: This golf ball consists of a core 4 made of at least two rubber component layers including a process (a) of wrapping and preliminarily molding an N-numbered layer in a die for preliminarily forming, which is provided with the shape of a cavity different from a die for finally vulcanization forming a core 4 with an (N+1)-numbered layer in the shape of the semispherical shell of the core kept in an unvulcanized state and a process (b) of generating the core 4 by vulcanizing a preliminarily molded product in a vulcanizing die, and a cover formed on the core. In this case, the volume of the cavity of the die for preliminarily molding is made to be 95% to 102% of the cavity volume of the vulcanizing die.
