WOOD-BASED ABS RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ARTICLE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wood-based ABS resin composition capable of presenting molded articles having a smooth appearance and delustered wood-based feeling, especially excellent in weatherability and having a double layer structure by using the same. SOLUTION: This wood-based ABS resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of an ABS resin containing 5-40 wt.% of a butadiene rubber, 5-100 pts.wt. of wood flour and 0.1-30 wt.% of a styrene-modified polyethylene wax. A double layer article having the wood-based ABS resin composition as a base is produced by co-extruding a weatherable resin B with the wood-based ABS resin composition to form a coated layer comprising the weatherable resin B on the surface of the wood-based ABS resin composition.
