PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more minutely decide a cooking condition by fixing a weight sensor to an electric rice cooker and measuring the weight of rice and water housed in an inner pot by the weight sensor. SOLUTION: The weight sensor 3 is fixed to the bottom part of the inner pot 2 of the electric rice cooker to detect the weight of the rice charged into the pot 2 by the weight sensor 3. Then, the volume of the rice is converted from the detected weight and the quantity of water to add next can be calculated. The quantity of rice can precisely be adjusted by this constitution. In addition a measuring cup for measuring rice is unnecessitated and since the quantity of water can precisely be adjusted according to rice, the hardness of cooked rice can minutely be adjusted.
