PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly record by preventing a damage of a photothermal conversion layer itself by a laser beam and clarifying a recorded image. SOLUTION: In the laser thermal transfer recording material obtained by sequentially laminating a photothermal conversion layer containing at least a near infrared absorption material and an inorganic binder as main bodies, and a thermal transfer ink layer in this order on a base material; a metal oxide is used as the binder to raise a thermally decomposing temperature, and hence the conversion layer becomes excellent heat resistance. Further, the binder can give higher thermal conductivity than that of a resin material to perform high sensitivity. Since the oxide is formed via a polycondensation of a metal hydroxide of a solution state, the conversion layer has excellent adhesive properties with the base material to become a high strength. Moreover, since the binder is a non-thermoplastic binder, a decrease in its sensitivity is not brought about by raising durability of the ink layer softened at the time of heating, but printing of high sensitivity can be conducted. |
