PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for printing whereby a manual rearrangement conforming to a characteristic of print data and a characteristic of a finisher is eliminated. SOLUTION: Based on a direction of data obtained by a data direction take part 14, a rotation information obtained by a rotation information take part 15 and a paper information obtained by a paper information take part 16, a rotational angle determination part 17 determines any one rotational angle of 0 deg., 90 deg., 180 deg. and -90 deg. for print data received by a print data reception part 11 based on a user's designation, a print data rotation part 12 rotates the data, and a print part 13 prints the data.
