PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plunger assembly in which such a risk is precluded that the coupling of a slipper with a plunger body loosens to cause a change in the plunger stroke or shortening of the lifetime. SOLUTION: A plunger body 51 and a slipper 55 are coupled together by a rod member 61 having a lid 61a welded in such a way as covering the end opening 51a of the plunger body 51 and extending within the plunger body 51 in such a way as penetrating the two members 51 and 55, a first slide member 62 penetrating the rod member 61 and attached slidably to the inside surface of the concave spherical form of slipper 55, a second slide member 63 penetrating the rod member 61 and attached slidably with the first slide member 62, and a weld member 64 penetrated by the rod member 61, attached slidably with the second slide member 63, and welded to the tip 61b of the rod member 61.
