摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of the interphase spacer of a multiphase transmission line by further suppressing its galloping. SOLUTION: An interphase spacer 30 of a structure for suppressing the galloping of a multiphase transmission line comprises wire grasping portions 32 for grasping wires 31 (respective elementary conductors of a two-conductor transmission line in the illustrated example), a spacer main body 33 for regulating the space between the wires 31 of two upper and lower phases, and a connective metal fittings 34 for connecting the wire grasping portions 32 with the spacer main body 33. As the structure of the wire grasping portion 32, one capable of rotatably grasping the wire 31 is used. Since the attitude (rotational angle) of the wire 31 can be varied, snow stuck on the wire 31 is prevented from growing concentrically on its windward side, the shape of the stuck snow is made round and the change of the lift of the wire 31 is made small to make the amplitude of the galloping of the wire 31 reducible. Thereby, the compressive load acting on the spacer main body 33 is made small to make its weight reducible. Also, since the wire grasping portion 32 is made rotatable, making act no twisting moment of the elementary conductor of the wire 31 on the spacer main body 33, its diameter is is made small to make its weight reducible. Since the wind pressure applied to the spacer main body 33 is made small by reducing the diameter, the bending moment acting on it is made small to thereby enable further reduction in its diameter.</p>
