PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further uniformize a cell gap in peripheral part of a display region. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is equipped with various wiring such as an outgoing line 25, 27a, 27b, 27c or the like which intersects a sealant 22 on the outside of the display region existing on the upper plane of the lower side substrate 21. Besides, the widths of the sealant 22 at the parts intersecting with outgoing lines such as 25 are narrower than those at the parts not intersecting. Thereby it is possible to further uniformize a cell gap in peripheral part of the display region 23.
