The snap-in cover(1) has a downwards widening outer skirt(6) with adjoining plane sections(7) along its circumference. A tear-off tab(3) is formed on at least two of these plane sections. The plane sections are inclined to the vertical centre axis of the cover. The centre of each tear-off tab in located on the point of contact of two adjoining plane sections. The outer skirt has an upper cylindrical section which changes into a lower widening section having plane sections.
