A recess (5) containing the dental material is positioned in the top of a hollow shell (3) which is open underneath. The transition part between the outer surface (31) of the hollow shell and the inner surface of the recess is in the form of a funnel part (7) for passing the dental material. The shapes of the outer and inner surfaces enable several micro-cups to be stacked inside each other. The funnel part of one micro-cup cooperates with a corresponding surface (9) on the inside (33) of the hollow shell of the micro-cup above it so as to close the recess. The micro-cup stands on a flat base with projections on the lower rim acting as three legs (351-353).
