<p>The device is used for sorting separate items that are carried on a suspension conveyor. The items are initially carried round unsorted on an initial circuit that is used as a free pre-buffer zone. The items are released in batches of a predetermined number and are passed though an initial sorting stage. This process happens independently of the amount of material that is held in the first circuit, by transfer to a second conveyor circuit as soon as the items in the batch have been identified in the first circuit.</p> |
