Plastic figures stand on bases in the table linked via a cord wheel and cord to a twistable press-knob and drive rod and lifter giving strike or defense positions. The individual player figures (6) stand on bases (15) reaching into the table support (10) and can be placed in defensive or striking positions by means of a hand-operated two-arm tippable drive rod complete with press-knob (24) assisted by a power-rotated cord wheel (26) and lifter (20) alongside the base (15). The figure (6) is hinged to the base by the standing leg (16) so as to form a swivel lever. The lifter provides the ball-shooting movement of the standing leg (16), using the twistable knob to swivel the figure and its leg either way as required. The drive bar and wheel (22,26) are mounted below the table in respective fixed positions. The goalkeeper figure is controlled specially by a lever drive enabling the arms and legs to be swung out off a central swivel mechanism.
