The invention relates to a mast construction for a radio installation such as a base station for a mobile telephone network. The construction comprises a mast body tube 1 and at least one fastening frame 22 for supporting cables 14. The fastening frame forms a construction which runs around the body tube 1 such that in the fastening frame there are at least three fastening points 23, 24, 25 for the supporting cables 14, which fastening points are situated at a distance from the body tube 1 and at a distance apart, and, for example, five supporting cables 14 per fastening frame 22, fastened in the ground, for supporting the body tube 1 via the fastening frame. The construction further comprises means 26, 27 for attaching the fastening frame to the body tube 1. The invention also relates to a process in connection with a mast construction. <IMAGE>
