PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing system capable of easily testing whether or not a system is normal. SOLUTION: A counter 1 of a test pattern generation circuit counts the number of pulses of a clock signal CLK that is synchronized with image data and outputs a signal Count of an 'H' level when the heading data of each macroblock are transmitted. A selector 3 makes a video signalϕ2 pass in the normal mode and makes a video signal whose leading data of each macroblock MB are masked with a signal Count pass in test mode. It is unnecessary to use a dedicated video signal for test separately even in the test mode.
