PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for dynamically maintaining sound output balance in a stereophonic sound system by deciding the position of a remote control mechanism with respect to respective controllers based on time required when a radio frequency signal is transmitted between the remote control mechanism and the respective controllers. SOLUTION: A stereophonic sound system 10 contains a basic device 11 and loudspeakers 15L, 15R, 17L and 17R. Respective controllers are used and the respective loudspeakers 15L-17R are connected to the basic device 11. A listener shows a self-physical position with respect to all the controllers by the remote control mechanism 18 transmitting a radio frequency signal. The position of the remote control mechanism 18 with respect to the respective controllers is decided based on time required, when the radio frequency signal is transmitted between the remote control mechanism 18 and the respective controllers. Thus, the sound outputs of the respective speakers 15L-17R are adjusted so that sound output having real stereophonic balance is supplied to the listener, in accordance with the position of the remote control mechanism 18 with respect to the respective controllers. |
