PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To replace an existing cable line connected uninterruptibly to an existing repeater with a simple method. SOLUTION: When an existing cable line 5 is replaced, a temporary repeater 11 connects to an existing repeater 4 in parallel to bypass the repeater 4. Then a newly installed cable line 15 connects to the existing repeater 4 disconnected from the cable line. A terminal of the cable line 3 part of the outer sheath of which is exfoliated connects to an input of the existing repeater 4 for the connection of a cable 12. After the cable 12 is disconnected, the disconnected part is covered with a protective member integrated with the existing repeater 4.
