SOLUTION: This rear monitor system identifies objects present in the rear and sideways of a vehicle by an object identification means 6, on the basis of positional information on wave reflection points detected by a rear sensor 2 and a side sensor 20. At this time, when the object which is decided on the basis of detection information of the side sensor 20 at the present control cycle is decided by an identification deciding means 6C to be equal to the object decided on the basis of detection information by the rear sensor 2 at a previous control cycle, deciding means 7, 8 decide the object identified on the basis of the detection information by the side sensor 20 to be an approaching object.</p> |
