PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent liquid developer and toner from being attached/heaped to/on a developer carrier cleaning member and an applying quantity control member in a liquid developing device using a high-concentration and high- viscosity liquid developer. SOLUTION: This liquid developing device 4 is provided with a developing belt 10 carrying a high-concentration and high-viscosity liquid developer 18 obtained by dispersing toner in an insulating liquid, an application roller 13 making the developer into a thin layer and applying it to the belt 10, the applying quantity control member 14 regulating the quantity of the developer on the roller 13, a developing belt cleaning member 12 and a developer storage tank 15. The insulating liquid is non-volatile, and a volatile oil is applied to the cleaning member 12 and the part of the control member 14 brought into contact with the developer. |
