<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress rattling vibration due to a sudden change in an engine output when an accelerator pedal is quickly actuated by finding a transmission target input number of revolutions from a steady target driving force and finding a target engine output from a transition target driving force for generating a steady target driving force with a predetermined transition characteristic. SOLUTION: In a steady target driving force computing unit 21, a minimum steady target driving force TS complying with a driving condition and a running condition is found on the basis of an accelerator opening APS and a vehicle speed VSP detected from sensors 14, 19. In a transmission target input number of revolutions computing unit 22, a target value for the number of engine revolutions for generation at a minimum fuel consumption is found on the basis of an engine characteristic chart from the steady target driving force TS and the vehicle speed detection value VSP, and the transmission target input number of revolutions Npri matching the target number of engine revolutions is found. The transmission target input number of revolutions is inputted to a target transmission computing unit 23, and a gear change is carried out for accomplishing the target number of revolutions.
