Two rotors are driven at relative speeds with detectors at equal intervals in rotation direction (A). The first pickup is provided adjacent to rotating curvature point of several first detection pieces at a first rotor, used to produce a first detection signal, if the approach of one of the first pieces is perceived. A second rotor rotates coupled with the first rotor with preset speed ratio relative to the first rotor, and which has second detection pieces provided in a rotation direction (B) spaced at irregular intervals of the second rotor. A second pickup is provided near to curvature point of several second detection pieces, to produce second detection signals if the approach of a second detection piece is perceived. A detection facility determines several specific angular settings of the first rotor are respectively determined corresponding to the multiple of results of the second detection signals produced by the CPU.
